Before Becoming A Parent (B4BP) is taking steps to get a new All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) set up by MPs and members of the House of Lords. This is inspired by the success of the APPG about financial education for young people, which was set up in 2011 and boasts an impressive 80+ parliamentary members.

An APPG is not an official committee but it can advocate policies in parliament. We hope that by supporting an active APPG, we can press for thorough parenthood education for every child and young person to become a core curriculum subject in every school, as well as putting it on the agenda in youth offender institutions and other youth settings.
